Azylo Licensing for Creators

The following document explains Licensing for contributors and is not legally binding. For more information, refer to our Terms of Service.

Free License (Azylo® 1.0)

Gain maximum exposure — get published by more magazines. Free License is great for promoting yourself, your films, ideas, and products or services. Multiple publishers can download and publish your content free with Free License, but they must provide credits and links to your Azylo portfolio and preserve all included backlinks. Publishers can modify your headline, but they can not significantly modify the text (i.e., make changes that affect the context and meaning of your content). They can not use your images other than for editorial purposes with your content. They can use separate images to promote your content throughout their website (article thumbnails) and their social media to promote your content only. Free License is for online use, not for print. You preserve all copyrights you have.

Simply put,

Use Free License to appear in more online magazines – gain maximum exposure for yourself, your ideas, sponsors, and products or services.

Example: Ben Haggar – Shapeless Fulfillment (Film)

Standard License (Azylo® 2.0)

Earn revenue — get 40% royalties from every sale. With a Standard License, multiple publishers can buy and publish your content. You can also host or sell your content anywhere else on the internet. Standard License is excellent for recycling older, previously published content, too. Publishers must provide credits and links to your Azylo portfolio and preserve all included backlinks (this applies to print publications, too). Publishers can modify your headline, but they can not significantly modify the text (i.e., make changes that affect the context and meaning of your content). They can not use your images other than for editorial purposes with your content. They can use separate images to promote your content throughout their website or magazine (article thumbnails) and their social media to promote your content only. Standard License is for online and print use. You preserve all copyrights you have.

You can not sell your content anywhere else — you must sell your content exclusively on Azylo. However, you can still use your content for self-promotion (i.e., on your personal website or social media). Exclusive License is not for previously licensed content. Publishers must provide credits and links to your Azylo portfolio and preserve all included backlinks (this applies to print publications, too). Publishers can modify your headline, but they can not significantly modify the text (i.e., make changes that affect the context and meaning of your content).
